2020 Fringe Preview - Laughs for the Love

The cream of Fringe comedy unites in support of Bushfire Relief.

Home for the holidays are WA faves Anna Piper Scott (just awarded ‘Best of the Fest’ at Hobart’s 2020 Fringe) and Edinburgh Fringe Award winning sh*t-stirrer Brendon Burns.

They’ll be joined by some whose festival shows you can catch right here at The Laugh Resort: Perth's own Simone Springer, MC Matt Storer, Wheatbelt singer/songwriter Alli Butler and - for the first time in WA - Scottish Comedy Award winning magician Kevin Kopfstein,.

For extra Fringey-ness, guests also include Sonny Yang, and some hilarious erotic readings by the naughty puppets from Pupperotica.

Some Perth comedy faves are Home for Christmas

It's our Xmas-versary! We’re wrapping up year 1 at our 'new' home in Yagan Square with some fave expat Perthlings home for the ho-ho-holidays.

Leading the lineup are MICF award nominee Fran Middleton, NY-based wunderkind (who won Raw Comedy WA aged just 15) Josh Makinda, “professional idiot” Luke Joseph Ryan (seen on Nickelodeon and heard on Nova 93.7 and Mix 94.5), and Aussie Disney/DreamWorks/Peppa Pig creator Rory Lowe, fresh from a world tour.

In support are 2017-18 Raw Comedy WA finalist Mick Gledhill and emerging Perth talents Alice Mack, 2019 Best Newcomer nominee Tyronne King and more.

November brings colourful laughs for PrideFEST

This month we’ve assembled a lineup of LGBTQI+ comedians - and some funny as f*** allies - from here and afar, to bring you a fabulous night of very colourful humour celebrating Pride WA’s 30th anniversary.

Witness the return of Perth’s wickedly acerbic dark knight Ayden Doherty along with ukulele toting self-professed “cabaret idiot” Jamie Mykalea and multiple time Raw Comedy WA State Finalist Alissia Marsh.

They’ll be joined by emerging talents Charlotte Glance (Youth Pride Network), Cody Lam (Funny Faces 2019 finalist), Disney prince lookalike and Raw Comedy WA finalist Alexander Circosta, and FRINGE WORLD regular Nicola Macri.

Representing the allied community is Noongar Radio’s Rainbow Kinection co-host and Silence of the Labia star Simone Springer as MC, and Perth’s favourite American headliner Mike Goldstein, back from touring the east coast of Australia and the world.
