Thanks to being in the lucky state, from November even more Perthlings can join us at The Shoe, while we continue to stream the lols to comedy lovers far and wide.

Since we returned to the pub in July and ramped up to 2 shows a month (the 1st AND 3rd Wednesdays), almost every lineup of WA's freshest & finest comedians has sold out.

You never need miss a show though, while we're offering two ways to get your lol-fix: choose a ticket to attend in person at the pub (cabaret-style table seating) OR online via live-stream.

'King of the Lesbians' Alissia Marsh hosts FRINGE WORLD award nominee Jamie Mykaela; 2019 Best Newcomer Cody Lam; Raw Comedy semi-finalist Charlotte Glance; 2x Class Clowns finalist Jackson Canny; plus fresh voices Kate Willoughby and Aves Robins.

Three of the West's most loved comedians let loose all the juicy new jokes they concocted during 2020's lockdown.

Cameron McLaren, Luke Bolland and Sian Choyce are three of Perth’s favourite and most accomplished comedians.

For a big chunk of this year they were stuck at home not being able to do what they do best - make people laugh. The good news is they spent a lot of this time writing brand new jokes!

SPECIAL EVENT: Jon Doust in Conversation with Wyatt Nixon-Lloyd

Witness the homecoming of two funny friends chatting about life, laughs and the latest book by one of these two favourite WA-made comedians.

Jon Doust’s first novel, Boy on a Wire was long-listed for the 2010 Miles Franklin, Australia’s most prestigious literary award. His third, Return Ticket, was temporarily derailed by 2020's lock-down.
Since the book's May release, the time has finally come to celebrate Return Ticket, following To the Highlands to conclude Doust's trilogy: One Boy's Journey to Man.

Join us for an hour (or so) chat between Doust and long-time comedy pal Wyatt Nixon-Lloyd as they delve into life, laughter and of course Doustie's books.

For Wyatt, having gone to make tele on the eastern seaboard, and Doust, hiding out in Albany to be an author, this event marks a long-awaited return to The Laugh Resort - the club Doust was a founding father of and where he started his stand-up comedy career (in 1991).

In his own words: "Back then Jon was not only younger and better looking, he was funnier. Come see the craggy, cranky old man as he does battle with a much funnier, better looking and considerably taller comedian".
It's time to witness the old man face the hard questions.

Jon Doust has been a comedian, journalist, keynote speaker, radio regular, festival organiser, community leader and now author for 187 years.
Wyatt Nixon-Lloyd is a WAAPA graduate, international comedian, singer-songwriter, ARIA winner, writer for The Project, and an old friend of Jon's.
