What better way to cast off restrictions than to celebrate with an international act touring Australia.
Cornwall born, Ghanaian raised comedian Akwasi Osei-Tutu launched onto the Australian stand-up scene with a sellout debut solo show at Afro Hub, Melbourne. His comedy style can be described as observational storytelling with themes ranging from personal experiences to family to current affairs.
Finding the humour in any situation, Akwasi will take you on a comedic journey of life through a West African lens to leave you thinking “damn, I never thought of it that way”.
Supported by WA's own Thabo Tshuma who, Zimbabwean born, has turned his conservative upbringing on its head to recently emerge as one of WA's most outrageous and unique comedic voices, with his hilariously unexpected takes on life.
Following a sellout 2021 Melbourne Comedy Festival season, already in 2022 Akwasi has delighted audiences in Melbourne, Adelaide and Brisbane. Don't miss the rare chance to spend an hour with the Ghanaian prince of comedy at this hysterical ONE NIGHT ONLY event before he jets out of town.
Seating unreserved and strictly limited. Bookings recommended as shows often sell out (and there's no fees). Door sales (if not sold out prior) $26 from 8pm. Meals & snacks are available in the adjacent main bar prior to show time.
